5 Christmas Movies to binge watch on Netflix

5 Christmas Movies to binge watch on Netflix
We love December! It’s the most wonderful time of the year for a reason. Apart from the shopping and lots of Christmas and year-end sales going on, it’s also the one month we wouldn’t mind just staying in doing nothing, to snuggle up under our blanket in our PJs for a Christmas movie marathon. The best Christmas movies on Netflix will be perfect to celebrate this holiday season and set the mood right in bed.

So below are the 5 movies we picked out to get you started on this movie marathon on your weekend.

1. The Christmas Chronicles 2

The Christmas Chronicles 2

Picking up two years after the first The Christmas Chronicles, Kate is now a cynical teenager, unhappy with her mother's new relationship with Bob and with spending Christmas in Cancun, runs away and lands at the North Pole with her step brother, Jack, where a naughty elf is plotting to cancel Christmas. Well, Christmas must endure no matter what.

If you haven’t caught the first, be sure to watch it before tuning in to the sequel.

2. Holidate

Holidate

All they want is someone to drunk-mock strangers with on holidays. No pressure, no romance, and no chance it will lead to love, but having the perfect plus one on every holiday.

Rom com movies are cheesy, we get it, but it’s so easy to binge watch on whether you laugh at it or with it.

3. How the Grinch stole Christmas (2000)

How the Grinch stole Christmas (2000)

The Grinch decides to rob Whoville of Christmas – but a dash of kindness from little Cindy-Lou Who and her family may be enough to melt his heart. Adapted from the classic storybook by Dr Seuss.

Can we say how much we love Jim Carrey in this film? This classic film is totally worth watching if you haven’t caught it before.

4. Alien Xmas

Alien Xmas

A young elf mistakes a tiny alien or a Christmas gift, not knowing her new play-thing has plans to destroy Earth’s gravity – and steal all the presents.

When you have a group of extraterrestrials coming to steal Christmas, all hell breaks loose. This 42min film is extremely easy to watch. So, if you are a stop-motion nostalgist, you will love this as much as we enjoyed it.

5. Christmas Crossfire

Christmas Crossfire

It all begins when a man who wants to spend a bit of Christmas fun in the cold, countryside of Germany with a girl whom he just met and then suddenly starts a chain of events. The man foils an attempted murder, then flees the crew of would-be killers along with their intended target as a woman he’s just met tries to find him.

This new dark comedy Netflix film from German will present a twisted Christmas plot for you with lots of dark humour, violence and blood. If rom-com is not for you, and if you are the sort who likes losers posing as winners, and looking for some madness in the house, Christmas Crossfire might fit right in.
