We’re beer fanatics at heart. Obsessed might be a stronger word, but we’ll settle for that for now.
The craft brewery movement has certainly taken off in Singapore. If you’re all about the flavor of craft beer, and like us, and have a passion for beer that borders on the obsessive, then this guide has been crafted just for you, cause we’ve found 10 some really unique spots around Singapore.
1. Orh Gao Taproom

In a country where there is a strong culture of having a beer in the kopitiam, it’s not surprising that there are waves of craft beer bars opening up in prominent coffee shops around the island, just like Orh Gao Taproom.
‘Orh Gao’ or ‘黑狗’ is a Kopitiam Hokkien moniker for Stouts. Celebrating our local coffee shop heritage, Orh Gao Taproom aspires to relive the heartwarming ‘kampung’ atmosphere and the neighbourly vibes. Starting and ending your day with a toast, Orh Gao transforms from a traditional lively coffee shop in the day to a cosy bar in the evening. Orh Gao Taproom offers an extensive menu of craft beers on taps and all-time local favourites.

8. The 1925 Brewing Co.

Preserving history while embracing the future is exactly what The 1925 Brewing Co. is doing. Housed in a two storey shophouse in the quaint neighbourhood of Jalan Besar, four 600-litres beer tanks reside on the ground level behind the bar. They have very interesting range of craft beers that caught our attention when we first chanced upon them.
Some fun facts we learnt:
The names of their signature beers such as the Yellow Van, a pale ale, is derived from their grandfather’s yellow van which was used to transport the dry goods. The BLK 622, a dark ale, is derived from the block number 622 which their grandparents used to stay in.
